Hiya. Umm. This might sound a bit funny, but a while ago ( I've been practising with ki for quite a while) I tried to get my ki rise in power the same way those Asha'man do it in The Wheel of Time, and the feeling i got was exactly the same.
You know, like as if I was going to be devoured by my own power. At first, it was very hard to "get access" to my ki, but when i got there, it just flowed into me. I can't explain it well, execpt that i know that i was all sweaty just because my pulse increased quite a lot. But, besides that warmth there was a feeling of somewhat a pulse, like foggy, but still compact as diamond as energy.
Please tell me if that was something like your experiences, especially Silenced Heart, you're the one i trust most on this. ...But you don't have to I know now how to control it, but I can't use my ki on anything...

Or just don't bother. These forums are so dead, i'd be amazed if anyone read even this post...

I read it when it was first posted, but I wanted to see if anyone who hasn't already removed themselves from the forum would answer. To be completely honest, it sounds like you did one of the basic things that you can't do. You expected that outcome because that's what it look/seemed like in some anime. You can't go into this with a preconceived idea of what you are about to experience or that is all that you will, and not because it actually worked. This would be an example of the bio feedback so many critics of rad ki talk about. If you tell yourself "it is going to be like this", then whether it really happens or not, you are already limiting yourself to that experience.

Well, thanks for telling me that, and sorry. It sounds reasonable (wouldn't have posted it if it didn't, would you?) Still, I wasn't entirely sure what it was going to be like, only that what I told already. Doesn't really tell much. But i guess it matters if you have a clear idea of that which you are going to feel, compared to that you don't even know what you are doing? But that confuses me a little. If you can't know by feeling that it is energy that you are holding, or power, or anything that can work with only your mind, how can you know?

One thing you were wrong at. The Wheel of Time is a book by Robert Jordan(about 12 books of the same story), so I didn't quite have the image of anything in my head.

I didn't say that there is no sensation to be felt, or that you shouldn't have any idea what you are doing. I just said don't expect a specific outcome or feeling before you even try or you are just setting yourself up for a false alarm. The best way I can think to explain it right now is that you have to try to understand the theory behind what you are attempting first. Try to figure out the "how" instead of the specifics of the outcome before you even make a first attempt.

Really? In that case, I'll just try it that way. Honestly, I think that's what I had been aiming for, before I wasn't certain. I had to ensure it, thanks.

Follow SilencedHeart's advice. Also, when you feel a sensation, don't dwell on it or you'll lose your focus. Stay in the moment, but always progress forward.
